"Happy Independence Day" On this occasion, Golden Quill newsletter's special edition has been made available to all. Visit Golden Quill Newsroom to download the newsletter.

“In a dusty old attic, dimly lit by a dying candle kept on antique wooden table, he sat bent on the scattered papers...scribbling endlessly...he-the lonely soul...like the lonely moon hung outside the large attic-window

There he sat beneath the oak tree…cool breeze ruffling through his hair and birds chirping merrily on returning home after a winter exile. A river flowed nearby, with a soft gushing sound. There was no one to disturb him and he sat there…building the castles…fighting the wars…searching for light in the darkest places and finding life in dead towns…

Such scenes of a lonely writer, with job of writing only, are very rare in today’s world. Rather, the writers have to fight with various obstacles that come in their way and try to quench the fire of writing burning in them. Some have to juggle between the job and family pressure…some have children to attend to…and various other such reasons that somehow slay the writer’s spirit.

Nevertheless, it becomes easier to keep going if there is someone constantly encouraging you, not just by words but by providing all the possible help a writer can ask for but never asks…

And here we are… providing everything you will need to keep going… And we welcome you to “Golden Quill’’, a writers’ group.

If you are a writer or dream of becoming one someday… if you write in English and you are an Indian…this is the place for you. Come and join hands with many others like you.

Together we can overcome deadliest obstacles…
Together we can conquer highest peaks…
Together we can smile in the face of tribulations…
Together we can realize
every dream.

My dear writer and friend, please go through the website for more details.

It would be delightful to have you in the group.

Thank you
